WHAT DO BARBIE TOX, TRAPEZIUS BOTOX & SHOULDER SLIMMING TOX ALL HAVE IN COMMON?

They are all the same thing.

Trapezius Botox, also know as Barbie Botox or Shoulder Slimming Botox, is often referred to as Trap Tox. It is a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting Botox into the trapezius muscles, located in the upper back and neck region.

The left-sided picture was before she had anything done. The right-sided picture was one week after Dr. Barrueta injected Botox into her trapezius neck and shoulder muscles.

When this patient came the week prior to get Botox in her trapezius muscles, she also had Botox on the upper lip region which you can see created a nice upper lip flip. At that time, Botox was also placed in her chin to soften the crease underneath her lower lips called the mental crease.

Look at the incredible difference in the height of her shoulders compared to her face. In the before pictures the trapezius shoulder muscles in her back go up to above the level of her mouth. And then just one week after injecting Botox into her trapezius muscles her shoulders became much more relaxed and now they are at a normal level so you can see her neck profile.

Before Botox her neck was not even visible. This was an incredible transformation in just one week and she states that her upper back pain is now completely gone. Her trapezius muscles where very tense before they were injected with Botox. Botox not only makes the upper back & shoulder area look more refined and youthful, but by relaxing the tense muscles there, it significantly reduces pain.

Typically, Botox takes 3 weeks to fully kick in, so her results will continue to improve in the next couple of weeks. 

Botox and Dysport are two similar FDA-approved cosmetic medications used to smooth out wrinkles, reduce the signs of aging, relax muscles, and create a refreshed and rejuvenated look.

Botox and Dysport soften and reduce visible wrinkles by relaxing the muscles that create wrinkles, such as frown lines, worry lines and forehead furrows. But there are also many other areas of the face and neck where they can be applied for a total face and neck rejuvenation effect, called a "liquid facelift” and a “liquid neck lift." In this case, Botox was placed directly into the trapezius muscles to create a shoulder slimming and refined, longer neck look and to relieve the pent up muscle tension and pain this patient had in her upper back trapezius muscles. Relaxing these muscles often times significantly relieves neck and upper back pain. You can see from the before picture how thick and tight her trapezius muscle was. This patient has very strong trapezius muscles.

Trapezius Botox lasts anywhere from 3 to 6 months depending on the strength of the muscles and the number of Botox units used.
